We want to surface to users where they are in the Jira processing queue, along with estimated wait times and status updates, so they have clarity on what’s happening and when their request will complete.
API enhancement (if needed) to include:
Current queue position for the request.
Total number of items in the queue.
Estimated wait time.
UI enhancement on the Concourse Scope page to display:
“You are #X in the queue”
“Estimated wait time: X mins”
Current Jira Cloud status (values already exist: initializing, processing, done) with user-friendly labels such as “Activating,” “Processing,” “Complete.”
Information should refresh dynamically (or on page reload).
UX Designs: Needed for how queue position and status appear on the Scope page.
SA Designs: API currently returns queue status; may need minor extension for total queue size and estimated wait calculation.
Capability Flow: No changes to underlying processing logic, only exposing existing queue metadata.
SLAs/SLOs: Displayed wait times should be approximate; include disclaimer text like “Estimated wait time.”
Can yall please log this and send us the idea, start thinking about where it fits in priority. I believe this should go to Jira theme for activation work. @Kia
Added folks from overlapping themes as well.
Thanks yall!
