Would love the ability to populate a spreadsheet template that's pre-populated with the right column headers that correspond to phase, deliverable, task, sub-task, etc to be able to upload and import items all at once ... rather than manually typing or copying/pasting items from a spreadsheet into a workspace
When will this feature be released?
Just spent hours loading a year long project into Service Now that can export to MPP file and now can not use that information to upload into concourse.
Team - the best way to get around this is to spin up your JIRA site and then load into JIRA to backfeed into Concourse.
May I know when can we get this feature released? I noticed that the idea has been created 1.5 years ago, and we keep receiving complain of missing Import function from the engagement team. It is really impact user experience for the ERP engagements as every ERP engagements have hundreds tasks on excel in the beginning of the project.
This would be extremely helpful for some of our engagements that require hundreds of rows of tasks. It would be nice to be able to upload these as tasks to specific deliverables in Concourse, so we don't have to manually create each item. Then we can more easily track via Kanban, etc. without investing significant man hours into creating the tasks one-by-one at engagement startup.
Thank you guys for working on this! Excited to see it finish development and be released.
If the concourse can allow users to edit/create tasks and deliverables without frequent 'reloading' page, it will be helpful. Right now loading each tab takes several seconds waiting, waste a lot of time.
What's the latest status of this idea and ETA for getting it implemented? Thank you.
One of the biggest hurdles for improving adoption and getting buy-in from our practice teams has been the need for this flexibility because our workplans can at times reach 1000+ lines and we rely heavily on those workplans to manage projects.
Pleaseeee implement this feature. Our clients have customized workplans that are hundreds of rows long. They don't neatly fit into any delivery maps. It would be extremely helpful to upload their workplans into Concourse
I support this idea unless the U/I for selecting DMs (shopping cart experience) and Deliverables view are improved (less clicks to make updates)
Thank you for your feedback. We truly appreciate it!
We have definitely heard this communicated to us from multiple users so please know that it is in our backlog and is being reviewed for future releases.
In the meantime, unfortunately, we don't have such a capability to enable the import / uploading of spreadsheets into Concourse. This is for several reasons:
1) We want to encourage users to physically build their workspaces in Concourse directly as the functionality, look & feel, etc., might make it more user friendly (hopefully) as compared to a spreadsheet. Hopefully you will find that the platform is user-friendly enough where even if you are not too familiar with Concourse, you can truly 'learn by doing'
2) Concourse Delivery Maps are meant to serve far beyond just 'glorified project plans' as it also enables you to bring in relevant digital assets (i.e., templates, accelerators), is integrated with Jira, SharePoint, Team, PowerBI, and so many other tools that allow engagement teams to work within the Concourse ecosystem
3) Lastly, although this is not yet available as a feature, please note that you have the ability to import anything (E.g., Stages, Deliverables, Tasks, etc.) from any other published Delivery Map or personal workspace that you are a part of. Just click the "+" sign to the right of any Stage or Deliverable and select 'Import..." and it will automatically pull up a screen on the RHS that will enable you to directly make duplicates of everything out there. This should hopefully drastically cut down the time of building / revising a workspace and enable you to hopefully, over time, benchmark from other teams and from prior engagements.
As always, we truly appreciate you using Concourse and continuing to submit feedback. We take all of this under serious consideration when defining the future release roadmap. Thank you!

This would be an extremely useful feature
Echoing this.. would really help adoption/migration of teams who are currently using Excel workplans (like mine). Feedback I have gotten is that MS Project easily allows spreadsheets being imported, which makes Concourse seem less attractive in comparison
