Deliverable Start Date and Due Date need to rollup based on the Start Date and Due Date of the dependent tasks
Deliverable Start Date and Due Date need to rollup based on the Start Date and Due Date of the dependent tasks. Establishing the dependencies between a deliverable and its tasks will keep the dates in sync.
Parent task dates should not be a user input, not editable, they need to be derived from child tasks. this just adds manual work and creates opportunity for error

Yes, this is a key feature to compare with MS project. Currently you have to manually enter each line. However the subtasks should help update any parent tasks which can then be updated further
As Main task(Work Item) should able to capture the Start & end date through Sub-tasks created, and auto-sync it with notification alert to Owner and assignee of the work item
