Background / Current Limitation
When performing a bulk upload of work items to Jira using a CSV file, the Status field is currently not supported for import/mapping.
Problem
Under the current setup, if we switch our project management tool to Jira in the middle of a project, we must change the status of each work item manually in Jira, one by one. This creates a significant operational burden.
Request
Please enable the Status field to be imported from CSV during bulk upload.
If the status can be set directly from the CSV, we can greatly improve efficiency and reduce manual work. This enhancement would be very helpful.

Eliminate one-by-one status updates
Streamline migration to Jira mid-project
Reduce operational effort and human error
Status update is possible via existing issue update through CSV. CSV will need to contain existing issue key and summary columns as well as the Status column of the work items that need to be updated. Only Jira admins can do this update due to built in restrictions in cloud. Users need to provide CSV to the admins and request them to do the upload.
