We are training to adopt PDM. In training, we concluded that scope definition, in Concourse, and activate delivery plan in Jira is intended to be a single iteration activity. At the time of plan activation, Teams channel, Save It workspace, and other items are triggered. In discussion, we clarified a regular use case, in proposal and contracting stages, would benefit from plan iterations or scenario based planning. In other words, can scope, plan creation, plan definition steps be repeated as scenarios before triggering the workspace, etc.?
Thanks Aleks, that is correct. We currently allow teams to create multiple scopes prior to activation however, you can only activate one scope at this time. We have received requests to be able to preview a scope in Jira and replace it with a newer scope should changes be needed. Stovel, please let us know if the scenario Aleks has provided is what you are looking for or if you are indeed looking for the ability to preview in Jira. If so, I will link this to that idea. Hi Stovel, in Concourse you can create several Project plans (scopes, PDM driven) before you activate a workspace. Is your idea focused on allowing to reuse an existing project plan (scope), to do an iteration, instead of creating a brand new project plan from scratch? Then I believe currently we can click on a Project plan (scope) and duplicate it, and then make adjustments. All has to be done before we Activate a workspace.
