While creating a new child item in the planning, a pop up should ask if it should automatically update the parent if the circumstance is that the start or end date falls outside the parent. This prevents a mismatch in planning for parent and childs.

Please submit a Service Hub ticket here if this feature is not available in your workspace. In the ticket, please be sure to set the Business Service to Concourse and include the workspace URL.
